Front view. I
remember the first time I saw an M400 up close - I was probably 17 years
old. It seemed too small and simple, too much of a toy, to be the
source of such a rich and powerful sound. Now it just looks quaint. |
 |
Side shot. The
discolorations in front of the control panel are just that. The case
does not have any major gouges or dents. |
 |
Top removed. |
 |
Ditto. |
 |
Keyboard removed exposing
the tapes. |
 |
Closer shot of the tapes.
Notice that one of the tapes has been spliced. |
 |
Same shot from an angle.
Haven't been brave enough yet to actually remove the tape frame, partly
because I'm not sure how to store it. I don't have a case for it. |
 |
Motor controller.
I'm assuming this is the older type and will need to be updated. |
 |
Control Panel. All
hardware appears to be original and accounted for. |
 |
Tag on the back panel
showing the serial number. |
 |
So far, the only problem
I've noticed is that the base of the case frame has warped up in the
center just enough so that I can't remove the lower front panel. It
won't lift high enough to clear the bottom lip. |
