Before the cabinet can be refinished, all of the electro-mechanical components need to be removed.  The first step is to remove the tape frame, which is a routine operation involving no tools.  Back in the day, if you were brave enough (and couldn't afford 2 trons) you could actually change tapes in the middle of a concert.

Motor Controller.  Shows the old (original) motor controller installed - top view.
Motor Controller.  Shows the proper arrangement of nuts and washer for the mounting bolt.
The large round plug on the lower right of the power supply is the cable to the motor controller.
